A safe environment
Yabonga was founded in 1998 as a nursery school, but all too soon, the staff encountered the first HIV-positive students. Thus, Yabonga grew into a center where people who somehow have come into contact with HIV are helped. The activities range from childcare to training programs for people to become counselors.

"At Yabonga we offer children who have come into contact with HIV / AIDS a safe environment." |
Orange Babies supports a unique project within Yabonga: Community Mothers. These women open their homes to children from their own community. These children are orphaned, infected with HIV / AIDS or their parents are too sick to care of them.
The mothers attend a special training program and then take 20 children in their care. Orange Babies provides them with a lunch, dinner, homework and group discussions. The mothers moreover, also maintain contact with the families of the children.
