Christina Swart-Opperman Aids Orphan Trust

Different ways of orphan care

The Christina Swart-Opperman Aids Orphan Trust (CSO) takes care of orphans whose parents have died from AIDS. Dr. Christina Swart-Opperman, the founder, was elected business woman of the year in Namibia in 2002.

CSO takes care of one thousand children in twelve different ways. In addition education, nutritional programmes and support to private orphanages are part of their projects.

Orange Babies also sponsors the Mother’s Voice Center managed by Christina Kahrises. They offer 66 children a place to stay and besides taking care of them they also provide information & counselling. Another way of orphan care sponsored by Orange Babies is the Elliott Family, a retired couple that takes care of 6 children in the private home.

“Thanks to Orange Babies we are able to improve the quality of life of these vulnerable children in Namibia.”

Christina Kharises
